A leading 1st tier automotive supplier has an immediate requirement for an experienced Contract plant quality engineer. You will have experience of quality process implementation within a fast-moving JIT automotive background with a strong background in TS16949 and preferably some exposure to electronic assembly. The Role: Reporting to the Quality Manager you will be responsible for: · Day to day plant quality implementation · Maintaining / updating the system to meet customer and company needs. · Develop control plans and parts/process verification check/audits, assisting in developing D & P FMEA's and with the submission of customer approval documentation (PPAPs/PSWs). · Dealing with customers on a day to day basis on quality issues · Assisting external quality auditors. · Maintaining Approvals · Measuring and analysing trends and performance at the plant to reduce potential issues. · Liaising with other stakeholders to develop integration activities with the supply base. · Being business aware and predicting industry trends. · Analysing processes and parts. · Completing root cause analysis programmes to plant satisfaction  Key Experience: Experience of working as a contractor · At least five years quality manufacturing experience gained within a JIT Automotive 1st tier environment · Supporting quality improvement projects and using problem solving techniques · Good fundamental understanding and application of quality and lean principles · APQP Qualification in a quality related or manufacturing engineering discipline preferable · Can do attitude with a natural quality mind-set · A good communicator at a team level with first rate communication and presentation skills
