Kforce is currently seeking a SQL DBA for a 3 Month Contract-to-Hire opportunity located in Houston, Texas. A qualified candidate will be responsible for providing troubleshooting, administration, optimization, and performance analysis for SQL Databases in assistance to a data warehouse project. The successful applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): SQL administration and troubleshooting SQL performance analytics SQL optimization Strong Windows server skills Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook Excellent attention to detail; accuracy is highly important Excellent time management skills are required; with the ability to reprioritize and be flexible being essential Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret and analyze all types of data Ability to identify problems and provide solutions Ability to work on projects of increased complexity under limited direction Must be able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment Experience: The selected SQL DBA must have 3-5 years of SQL DBA experience Education: a BS Degree in a related field is preferred Working knowledge of SQL Server 2005 is a plus If you are interested in being considered as a candidate, please submit your resume for review.
