JOB DESCRIPTION The Windows Security Engineer will be responsible for managing and ensuring O/S Security for Windows-based systems, with a heavy emphasis on Access Control Management and Active Directory Support. Daily responsibilities will include - Designing, implementing and supporting security and access controls across our client,'(tm)s large infrastructure organization - Ensuring OS Hardening and security policies are enforced within the various IT technicall and functional teams - Designing, evaluation and supporting new security technologies and making recommendations on security best-practices - Configuring and supporting Windows Active Directory with an emphasis on object management, group policies, permissions and user administration - Working with LDAP, Bind and TLS protocols for authentication - Using VB, .net or Powershell for administrative scripting and automating system processes. - Providing Tier 3 troubleshooting experience for OS Security and Access Control related issues - REQUIRED SKILLS - Required 4 year College Degree in an IT related field, with 5+ years IT Experience - Expertise in Windows Server 2008 / Active Directory - Strong focus on O/S Security, Access Control Management and Authentication. - Strong working knowledge of authentication protocols (LDAP, Bind, TLS) - Ability to mentor more junior team members, as needed.
