MATERIAL HANDLING CONTROL TECHNICAL SPECIALIST WMS OR PKMS Global firm located in Hampton, Georgia is seeking a full time Material Handling Control - Technical Specialist. Responsibilities for this position will include: The Technical Specialist will be responsible for the support in design, implementation, trouble shooting, maintenance and improvements of the controls (WDX) for Material Handling Systems in cooperation with or as assigned to by the Logistics- IT team in New Jersey and North Carolina. Specific responsibilities will include the following: Advise on material flow concepts and improvements using Material Handling Systems for warehouses. Advise on data architecture for MHE-controls and interfaces to Warehouse Management (WMS) host systems. Monitor and support proper function of the interfaces between WMS/PKMS and MHE automation controls (WCS). Responsible for the on-site day to day support of the MHE automation control system in the Hampton, GA warehouse which will include being available to provide off hours support when needed. Work in close cooperation with the WCS support in other W&D location, especially Jonesville, NC and offsite IT teams to ensure that corporate standards are followed. This includes following SDLC procedures including analysis, design, coding, testing, documentation, implementation and follow-up. As necessary provide WCS back-up support for other locations. Support the IT infrastructure resource when needed to support the warehouse inclusive of servers, printers, PC terminals, scanners and other devices as necessary. Qualifications: Five plus years prior experience in a similar capacity Practical experience with WCS systems Practical experience with Material Handling Equipment such as Tilt Tray Sorters, Conveyors, Print and Apply, RF systems, barcode and RFID printers. Excellent knowledge of SQL database and VB/VB.net required Excellent networking knowledge, TCP/IP, Ethernet Sockets Experience with PLC Solid understanding of Warehousing and Distribution requirements Exposure to PKMS/ WMS a strong plus Must be willing to travel Must be able to work in a team and independently and be well organized Strong analytical, communication follow up and documentation skills. Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, MS Project and Visio is required. This position pays $100,000 plus a 10% bonus. All candidates must possess a green card, ead or be of citizenship.
