Job Title: Design Engineer Location: West Yorkshire Duration: 6 months The Background: After a recent increase in workload, a prolific manufacturer of bespoke equipment and special purpose machinery is looking to recruit a contract Design Engineer for an initial period of 6 months. The Role: Joining the existing design team, you'll be responsible for the completion of mechanical designs and models to assist with the production of new machinery and equipment. You will also be liaising with the manufacturing department to ensure the projects transition smoothly and to schedule. You: You'll need to demonstrate a good mechanical background and strong 3D Modelling and 2D Detailing skills, ideally with previous experience of design for special purpose machinery. From a CAD perspective you should be fluent with Unigraphics design software; the version used on-site is NX7.5, however if you have strong experience with earlier versions you will still be considered. With the primary focus being the design and development of bespoke mechanical equipment, this is an excellent contract opportunity with one of the UK's market leaders in the design, development and manufacture of special purpose machinery.
