Marketing Executive
Provide an administrative, technical and research support service across the Marketing & Communications department in order to aid the effective delivery of departmental and organisational objectives Dimensions The post holder is responsible for providing comprehensive support to the Marketing & Communications Officers as well as implementing various programmes, reviewing and maintaining the charity's presence in the military arena, building and monitoring charity's digital environment and helping to execute the marketing & communications plan. Work with departments across the organisation to ensure a consistent image of Blind Veterans UK is portrayed as well as co-ordinate the efforts of a number of external agencies to produce marketing materials that reflects the charity's brand. Main accountabilities of the post 1. Provide a comprehensive administrative and technical support to the Marketing & Communications team to assist in the efficient operation and timely delivery of all department and organisational priorities. 2. Undertake market research as directed in order to support various marketing and communication projects, initiatives and campaigns to ensure they are successful. 3. Assist with the design, development, implementation, promotion and distribution of campaigns, magazines, exhibitions, collateral and official events, working with other departments and external suppliers as required. 4. Build, maintain and monitor digital marketing campaigns including affiliate marketing, paid search, search engine optimisation, e-mail and social media marketing. 5. Monitor, use and produce content for charity's social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. 6. Act as a brand guardian, monitoring and enforcing the use of the brand to ensure its vision, mission and values are portrayed accurately. 7. Work closely with the Fundraising teams to ensure that their communications reinforce charity's brand message, and that activities are integrated where relevant. 8. Help to build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, in particular with the welfare and membership departments to help beneficiary referrals. Additional responsibilities 1. Attend in-house and relevant external training courses, as agreed with the line manager. 2. Practice and comply with all aspects of Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 and charity's current Health and Safety policies. 3. Undertake any reasonable tasks from time to time at the line manager's request, as may be deemed appropriate within the scope of the post Work context 1. The post operates within a busy Marketing & Communications department. 2. Primarily office based, there are occasional requirements to visit other charity's locations and third party sites, sometimes requiring national travel and overnight stays. 3. There are high levels of integration between Marketing and Fundraising teams and the post has to liaise with other teams on daily basis to deliver strong effective marketing & communication campaigns 4. A high level of commitment to beneficiaries is also needed for this post. Autonomy and decision making The post requires ability to work unsupervised and take initiative where necessary The post holder is expected to liaise with all colleagues in the marketing & communications department in ensuring that the message conveyed in all communications is consistent with the charity's mission.
