Our client, a national retail chain, seeks an Oracle OBIEE Developer for a contract-to-hire role at their Hoffman Estates, IL location. This is a key position within the Business Intelligence application development team and requires sr. level experience in Techno/Functional roles with OBIEE. This includes development and deployment of OBIEE repositories and Oracle BI analytic applications. Consultant's involvement will span the entire spectrum of development and support activities from application design and deployment to day-to-day support of the enterprise applications and users. Responsibilities: Translate user requirements into OBIEE designs and packages for development Develop re-usable OBIEE components such as logical layers and metadata mappings Develop OBIEE RPDs, data integration processes, and Multidimensional databases Work closely with test teams to complete BI development activities Develop/conduct unit tests of OBIEE repositories and multidimensional databases Responsible for issue resolution of defects as identified during unit testing Monitor and remediate System Integration Issues Perform Impact Analysis to drive BI Application changes Development and performance improvements of complex queries Requirements: 6+ years experience in OBIEE development, Data Analysis, & Business Intelligence Experience in OBIEE Administration and Presentation Tools and OBIEE Delivers Master's degree in computer science, math, economics, business admin, finance, etc MBA preferred Demonstrated involvement in end-to-end deployments of at least two OBIEE repositories, Oracle BI applications, and data warehousing in an Oracle environment Strong understanding of at least three: multi-dimensional analysis, Oracle BI Apps (Financials and Order management), MDX, DAC and Informatica Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to provide creative solutions Development and implementation experience of OBIEE Repositories and BI Applications with expertise in essbase integration into OBIEE Understanding of Oracle EBS from a functional user perspective Experience in Hyperion Planning, EPM Architect, Essbase Analytics (BSO), Enterprise Analytics (ASO), or financial reporting tools OBIEE development in OBIA 7.9.x Financials and/or supply chain order management preferred
