The role is the provide Business-as-usual support to a large number of clustered SQL Server Databases comprising of versions SQL 2005 and SQL 2008. You will have the following experience: - Demonstrable experience of managing and troubleshooting Microsoft SQL Server based systems based on SQL Server 2005 and 2008. - Experience of installing and configuring SQL server and associated client tools in a multi-database, multi-server environment. - Demonstrable troubleshooting experience across. query performance, locking behaviour, scheduled task failure and server performance metrics. - Experience of Windows server 2003 standard or enterprise. - Powershell, TSQL, SSIS, SQL Management Studio, OSQL, SQLCMD Desired: - Backup systems - Experience of undertaking SQL 2008 to 2008 consolidation / migration processes - Office automation development skills (VBA/.Net) eg extracts to Excel spreadsheets. - Working knowledge of MS Server 2008.
