Website work - WordPress
I want some minor tweeks. Like spacing issues. My cart has disappeared and needs fixing Below are the notes from my team that all needs addressing. Matthew asked us to put together a brief for a few minor changes to the websites. Yesterday we made a few simple changes to the site as follows: We amended the Twitter widget so that it published on every page Set up an FTP account via GoDaddy Created a copy of the contact form and published it via a widget on the right hand side of every page apart from the home page and contact page Added a simple captcha to the contact form All of the above are very simple changes that usually just take half an hour which we've implemented on countless other Wordpress sites. Later on however emails sent from the site took ages to get through (which I think is a hosting issue rather than anything else), Matthew reported that he couldn't see the Shopping Cart icon on the RHS and the image on the right hand side of the contact page is missing. I think the email problem was just that it was being very slow - however just in case we disabled the captcha plugin, unpublished the form on the right hand side and reinstalled Contact Forms 7 and ran a few tests. The main form is definitely working again now. We're not familiar with the template and how you've set this up so think it makes sense for us to channel all changes through you. If you could check what's going on with the shopping cart that would be great - I'm guessing that it just probably needs to be switched back on to publish to the relevant page? Other Changes 1. Please could you have a go (and test) adding a contact form back to the right hand side of all pages apart from the homepage. The fields need to be tweaked (according to the Field Generator) within Contact Forms 7 to set the width / max length etc of each. 2. Install a simple captcha plugin (the one we installed is currently disabled) and add it to the forms (on contact page and right hand side). 3. Add Google Analytics tracking code so we can track form completions as goals - if you're not familiar with this here are two articles you may find helpful: /tracking-form-submissions-with-google-analytics/ /2010/10/22/google-analytics-goals-with-contact-form-7-the-right-way/ 4. Check the backup procedure for the site. Are backups taken fairly regularly and archived ? (for both MySQL and FTP). 1. Sign you up at / 2. Enable an RSS feed from your blog 3. Register the RSS feed with TwitterFeed and link it to your Twitter account - this will automatically tweet the article title and a link to each blog post which can help for SEO Desired Skills: WordPress Keywords: Web Programming, WordPress
