My unit is looking for a design resource who can re-create the image of our squadron's World War II mascot as a vector graphic in Illustrator. There is quite a bit of history and tradition associated with the image so it needs to be reproduced as closely as possible in order to stay true to the historical nature of the image. At the same time the design of the newly created digital version of the graphic element should modernized as to be conducive to incorporation into letterhead, a squadron patch, T-shirts, business cards, etc. I've included a scan of one our squadron patches and a photo of the mascot as depicted in a mural painted on our hangar wall as a reference or template. The photo of the mural should be the primary reference for the design. The final product should include all of the graphical elements of the bird along including the atom symbol and electrical "bolts" emitting from the antennae.
