Technical Support Analyst
TECHNICAL SUPPORT ANALYST – ST. LOUIS, MO CONTRACT TO HIRE OPPORTUNITY POSITION SUMMARY: Relay Technology is currently assisting one of our clients in their search for a Technical Support Analyst who will be responsible for supporting a Web Services Team in application testing, application releases, and will be responsible for resolving issues related to online systems, platforms, applications, and utilities. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in application / systems support, will have prior experience supporting web based application releases, will have a thorough understanding of internet portals and communication centric technology (IMAP, POP, email servers), and will have experience working with tools and technologies including PHP, Drupal, Microsoft O/S, iOS, Mac OC, web browsers (IE, Firefox, etc), Javascript, SQL Database, among others. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE: Provide support for internal staff in regards to online member services, websites, tools, utilities, applications, and systems. Resolve all issues related to items above in a timely and efficient manner. Answer support requests from internal staff and determine the proper course of remediation, route applicable calls to Help Desk Team as appropriate. Assist technical staff in supporting online systems, platform, and application availability, including vendor management, web portals, and communicating the status of issues and expected resolution time. Perform quality assurance testing for new and existing applications, document and communicate results of said testing to Web Services Team. Manage all documentation related to application / systems testing and release, distribute / archive information as appropriate regarding technical issues for projects assigned. Play an integral role in the selection of future technology being considered for the organization. Provide feedback regarding possible issues related to technology being considered; support the procurement of appropriate technology as appropriate. Analyze, create and deploy efficient processes and technical workflows for Web Services Team. DESIRED / REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field required. 2+ years of experience in application / systems support role required. 2 + experience in supporting multi-platform web based applications. Previous experience supporting web based application releases in an enterprise wide environment. Possess a thorough understanding of internet portals and communication centric technology, including but not limited to IMAP, POP, email servers and other forum based communication technology. Prior experience supportin internet architecture, network infrastructures, online portals, web analytics systems, and social media / networking. Must be proficient in organizing, manipulating, and utilizing technical support information to resolve all issues assigned. Experience and proficiency working with tools and technology including but not limited to PHP, Drupal, Microsoft O/S, iOS, Mac OC, web browsers (IE, Firefox, etc), Javascript, SQL Database, NetFORUM, IMIS, Active Directory, Commonspot, HTML5, Cold Fusion, CommonSpot Content Management Software, NetFORUM, IMIS, SQL Database, Unica, Web trends, SharePoint, DNS, Domain Name Management, FLASH, Photoshop
