Helpdesk / Technical Analyst Location: Wall Street, NYC Duration: 3 plus months Pays: $20/hr w2 Experience Level 3-5 years Education Level Bachelors Degree Position Description Responsible for the integration of new products and services into the field. Will work closely with MSSB developers, engineers and project managers to identify scope and impact of a project in order to prepare Help Desks and support organizations to handle call calls. The candidate will work in close cooperation with peers in other Technology areas and senior business clients in a way that encourages open communication, a positive work environment and shared success. RESPONSIBILITIES * Prepare the helpdesk and peer organizations to provide support prior to production turnover * Develop plan for ensuring technology support teams are trained and knowledgeable on troubleshooting new products/services introduced to the field * Create training plan for disseminating information on new product functions and features * Communication and presentation of reporting to senior management * Host regular meetings with stake holders to communicate activities, prioritize, receive sign off * Drive decision making, negotiate process flows and communication * Coordination of project meetings, design reviews, project tracking and reporting Skills Required * Excellent presentations skills: ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner; individually or in front of a group. Can sense the objectives of senior management and can get a point across quickly. * Capability to approach problems as challenges and deal with them constructively and promote this approach to other team members at the same time. * Knowledge & experience of how to effectively manage projects of various sizes * Understanding of IT Products and back end support of technology * Aptitude for IT and strong understanding of technology concepts and terminology (experience and working knowledge of Enterprise Infrastructure environment preferred) * Strong communication / interpersonal skills to be able to interact at all levels & be effective as part of a broader team * Effective organizational & prioritization skills * Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, Powerpoint and Visio. Skills Desired * Keen multi-tasker - flexible and adaptive to change and willing to learn and manage a broad range of tasks * Basic business knowledge and interest - demonstrates willingness to learn about the business and the projects * Flexible in tasks and working hours * Self-starter able to complete role with minimal supervision, paying close attention to detail * Pro-active: identifies other *value-add* areas. Identifies areas for improvement and suggests solutions * Good use of initiative, judgment and decision making * Knowledge of planning and analysis tools for project management * Strong analytical and problem solving skills * Strong attention to detail and the ability to balance multiple priorities * Strong oral and written communication skills
