Senior Business Analyst
JOB SUMMARY: A privately held service company in the Cincinnati area is seeking an Interim Senior Business Analyst. The Senior Business Analyst will identify and document procedures, recognize any trends, and come up with reporting solutions for the various departments. The ideal candidate will be able to lead the requirements gathering process and manage multiple projects at once. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Evaluate the user needs and outline the requirements and objectives. Create, modify and deliver reports through the use of data extraction into Excel (high use of pivot tables and VLookups). Pull and analyze data and provide recommendations to management for improvements. Liaise between the business and IT to create functional specs and improve reporting services. Address any procedural and systems issues, inform management, and make changes as needed. Turn the business needs into actual values and functional requirements so they can be used for projects. Communicate effectively internally and externally in a timely manner. Keep current on industry standards and competitive trends. Provide support for other analysts on the team. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. MBA is a plus but not required. Must have at least 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst. Must have at least 3 years Financial Analysis experience. Proficient in MS Office Suite and SQL Query. Experience in pivot tables and VLookups. Ability to multi-task and have strong organizational skills. Must be a problem solver with solid analytical skills. Excellent communication skills as this position will interact with all levels in the organization and with external clients.
