Your skills are needed to assist a Market Demand Data and Analytics company located in downtown Chicago, IL 60654. You will be joining a team that provides 24x7 administration and support for 450 Linux server insistences and their Web Site screen scraping process. Requires strong Linux scripting experience and Java. Activities will include: - Installation, Administration and Support - Security, Backup and Recovery procedures - Performance monitoring and Tuning - Patching - Creation and modification of screen scraping scripts in Regex, JAVA and Unix Shell Scripts - Supporting data loads, conversion and batch job operation and troubleshooting of development/production system. Required Skills: - Minimum of 5 years experience in Linux Administration and development. - Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery process/scenarios. - Java (will write/modify custom Java code to pull data from web sites) - Unix Shell Scripts (ksh) - Regex (Used for screen scraping process to collect the data) - Strong oral and written communication skills, project management skills, analytical skills, organizational skills and decision making skills.
