Title: Performance Test Engineer Duration: 6 Months Location: Lake Oswego, OR ================================== NOTE - This position requires onsite interview ================================== Responsibilities: - Establish/refine performance test strategies and requirements, planning and procedures, load stress testing, create and execute test script, perform on demand testing as needed. - Assess product's readiness based on performance test results and product specifications. - Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, development, and support teams to understand and validate configuration settings to ensure optimal product performance and scalability - Identify production metrics important to performance/load testing efforts; assist with collection methods where feasible - Provide technical assistance and expertise across teams and product lines. - Create, Execute and Manage the performance / load testing environment and test tools and test scripts. - Assist in post-implementation, continuous improvement efforts to enhance system performance. Identify product performance issues during new product development and, less frequently, production deployments. - Make detailed recommendations concerning new products, methods and technologies that will enhance test efficiencies. Required Skills: - 5+ years experience with QA methodology - 3+ years experience with web base application and testing automation - Knowledge and working experience with commercial/enterprise performance and reliability testing / load generation tools such as Visual Studio Load Testing Suite, Client LoadRunner, JMeter and SoapUI - 2+years experience in performance-testing QA position - Experience with system monitor tools such as perfmon, sql profiler, http analyzer, dotTrace and capable of analyzing performance metrics and ability to communicate results/recommendations. - Bachelor s degree in computer science or equivalent - Experience with OOP and scripting experience with PowerShell, Perl/Python/VBScript may be helpful - Familiarity with SQL database administration and programming. - Knowledge of HTTP/S, HTML, XML, SOAP/web services - Knowledge of HL7 EDI messaging formats is a plus - Experience within Agile environment a strong plus - Local candidates only: candidates must currently reside in/near the Portland metro area
