Business Analyst Finance
Position Purpose: -Requires coordinating with stakeholder teams to analyze business needs and work toward recommending solutions that meet sponsor/stakeholder needs. -Partners with assigned business line(s) to assess, research, analyze and document business needs in order to resolve business issues by recommending business solutions that meet sponsor/stakeholder needs. -Significant independent judgment is used with minimal direction given by supervisor. May lead/supervise lower level analysts. Scope of initiatives or projects this role supports may be large or multiple in volume. - Focus will be more on internal reports, rather than external/regulatory reports. Key Accountabilities: - Consults and coordinates with stakeholders to design and map business processes and procedures - Leads detailed requirement phases identifying, tracking, escalating and/or resolving requirements issues - Prepares and consolidates requirements documentation - Prepares or assists in the preparation of the implementation plan - Contributes to successful project completion within budget and on-time by identifying risks and developing/recommending mitigation strategies - Support User Acceptance Testing by supporting planning, development of test cases, execution of tests - Ensures adequate End User documentation and training - Facilitates small to large meetings and conducts information gathering sessions Knowledge and Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a related discipline, or equivalent education/experience (Required) - Advanced degree (Preferred) - PMP certification, Accounting Designation (CGA, CMA, CA), MBA, Certificate in Business Analysis (Preferred) - Experience with Financial Reporting and Financial Services Industry ( Preferred) - Proficiency/working knowledge of eFRS (INEA) and TM1/Cognos (Preferred) - 6-9 years business analysis experience (Required) Skills and Competencies: - Strong verbal and written communication skills to deliver well-structured business documentation and deliver client presentations (Required) - Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate cross-functionally and cross culturally (Required) - Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines (Required) - Demonstrated ability to work independently and in team environment (Required) - Negotiation, consensus building, and conflict resolution experience and skills, including timely issue escalation as appropriate (Required) - Advanced knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and change management (Required) - Expert user proficiency with computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Required) - Advanced user proficiency with MS Project (Required) - Ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses (Preferred) - Solid understanding of critical success factors affecting assigned business line, i.e. knowledge of applicable systems and/or associated procedures (Preferred) Attributes: - Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills - Attention to detail (Required) - Business Acumen – incumbent may liaise with contacts across different business functions - Proven ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with business partners, project stakeholders and team members, from project initiation to close Please feel free to email me at marc764@kellyservices.com Also feel free to connect with me on linked In to see other opportunities that I am working on.
