TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS (You must meet all requirements listed below and have worked for a minimum of two years in a professional capacity with all the technology listed.): *Expert Apple Desktop experience * Expert OS X Server 10.5/6 install, configure, maintain RAID storage * Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP/Vista, Outlook, Word and Excel. * Basic knowledge of Windows Server 2003/2008 SE and SBS install, configure, maintain on server class hardware with RAID 5 configurations * Configure and troubleshoot both local and network printing * Hardware troubleshooting (fans, power supplies, hard drives, memory) * Able to configure business class firewalls, routers, basic networks, VPNs * Understand and communicate how DNS and DHCP work and why * Strong familiarity with typical business grade T1/DSL * On-the-spot basic training of end-users on common office applications * POP email client configuration as well as Exchange client configuration (extensive Outlook knowledge a MUST) * Must understand how email servers function and the common causes of communication issues with email clients (you will not be handling an email server, but you must understand the process in order to troubleshoot client issues) * Professional experience with Active Directory, creating accounts, assigning permissions, joining PCs to a domain, transferring profile * Remove viruses, spyware, and adware using common online scans, utilities, and general instructions from sites such as symantec, nai, sophos, etc. * Exceptional documentation skills mandatory (we keep accurate documentation of clients' networks and provide detailed invoices to the clients about work performed -- precision and clarity is imperative) * Technical hand-holding coupled with excellent people skills -- some clients require more tact and guidance from a tech than others. * Configure and troubleshoot PDAs (Blackberry, Treo, iPhone, etc.) and their relationship to PC applications as well as online services * Minimal experience with SonicWALL, Netgear, Meraki or Cisco firewall experience * Experience with SSL VPNs ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS A PLUS BUT NOT REQUIRED * Unix/Linux/Apple command line administration experience * Certs: A+, ACMP, ACTC, ACSA, MCP, MCSE, or MCSA * Use Linux live cd's to run dd, dd_rescue, or other similar drive imaging software EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE B.A. or B.S. degree preferred but not required.
