Job Responsibilities: - The Clinical Information Analyst facilitates the review, revision, and approval of the clinical content to be incorporated into the information systems. - Ensures that information systems are implemented consistent with professional standards of clinical practice. - Facilitates adoption of the clinical workflow within the organization. - Supports clinical departments in the implementation and ongoing use of systems applications. - Facilitates the changes necessary to maximize workflow automation within patient care areas. - Ensures new processes adhere to regulatory requirements and provides thorough data capture for prompt, smooth, and effective processing. Job Qualifications: - A Bachelors degree in a related field is strongly preferred. - Proficiency in clinical data analysis and workflow analysis. - Ability to drive change within the organization. - Working knowledge of clinical operations in an acute care setting. - Mastery of assigned applications with a broad understanding of integrated systems. - Four to six years experience in clinical system implementations (CPOE, Clinical Assessments, - Medication Administration / Reconciliation, etc.). - Strong communication skills, both oral and written. - Ability to prioritize and multi-task, familiarity with HIPAA regulations, and ARRA Meaningful Use requirements. - Ability to embrace process improvements needed as a result of automation.
