Certified Nursing Assistants and HHA's needed
Seeking Certified Nursing Assistants to provide one to one care for the developmentally disabled population that are admitted to local hospitals in WESTCHESTER, ROCKLAND, ORANGE, SULLIVAN, DUTCHESS and PUTNAM COUNTIES of NEW YORK. Interested parties must have one year of hands on work experience to qualify. Interested parties must be able to travel to the aforementioned locations. Morning/day/night shifts including weekend work are available. Duties and Responsibilities Must be either a Certified Nursing Assistant or a Home Health Aide. Must be able to follow oral or written directions. Must have adequate language skills in order to effectively deliver care to the general public. Requirements A one to one sitter must be able to alert hospital staff and intervene should the patient's behavior become disruptive. Examples: pulling out IV's, picking at sutures, consuming hot food or causing harm to sefl or others. One to one sitters may help restraiined patients walk to the bathroom, assist them with getting as much exercise as recommended, and escort them to examination rooms. One to one sitters may clean rooms and change bed linens One to one sitters may check patients' pulse, temperature and respiration One to one sitters may maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, and problems in order to report and discuss observations with a supervisor or case manager. One to one sitters may provide restrained patients with help moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs or automobiles, and with dressing and grooming. One to one sitters may entertain, converse with, or read aloud to patients to keep them mentally healthy and alert. One to one sitters may feed patients who are unable to feed themselves.
