This position is with a well established, cutting edge Technology company that has been successfully supporting the national defense and intelligence communities for almost 2 decades. These positions are focused on a project that is in development with a future modification on the line. This modification will bring another 2 years of potential work in the door. The Software Engineers will be responsible for implementing efficient and maintainable software applications in an innovative and deadline driven environment. This involves developing software applications using the .NET (C#) and other appropriate programming languages, procedures, and tools. The Software Engineers will also be responsible for coding software, testing software, and analyzing requirements. Other details include: Coding (writing) software. Following applicable published standards for software development. Assisting in the development and testing of software Supporting other activities as required (briefings/meetings, development of documentation, internal project schedules required to meet milestones) Support other corporate personnel Effective communication Utilizing good interpersonal skills Effectively use of material and equipment Working with MS Office products May conduct some research Requirements: Successful candidates will demonstrate most of the following skills and experience: Five (5) years programming experience with two years strong experience with C# Desktop Application Development using WPF and other .NET frameworks. Professional experience with Windows UI desktop application design (not websites) .NET 3.5 and 4.0. Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator or Blend. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Additional experience of up to 8 years development experience may serve as a substitute if the candidate has a degree in another technical field. Desired skills that will put candidates at the top of the list for consideration include: Working knowledge of JAVA, XML, CSS, Web Services, Web Application design, JUnit, Ant, Databases, Web Servers, Subversion, J2EE Patterns, Hibernate, JavaScript and Agile development experience.?
