Responsible for development and maintenance of new/existing applications in Java, Html, JavaScript and SQL (Oracle). Will contribute to the ongoing work in Geospatial applications using Google Earth and/or ESRI. Will be working in a web environment (Apache, Tomcat and Oracle) as well as Desktop Java apps. Will also work in mobile applications development for SmartPhones. Should be able to work in a fast paced short delivery cycle (agile environment). Looks for innovative solutions. Works independently with minimal guidance. May direct the work of vendors/Contractors Qualifications: BS in Computer Science or Engineering 4+ years experience in Java and J2EE development. 2-4 years of database development and SQL 2+ years of experience in frameworks such as Struts, Hibernate, JQuery, JQuery Mobile, JFree Charts and/or Jasper Reports. Demonstrate proficiency in Java, J2EE, JavaScript, HTML, Knowledge of Database design, SQL and JDBC. Some experience in Mobile computing (iPhone, Android etc) and passion for mobile platform development Knowledge of Google Earth functionality is required Experience in Eclipse IDE platform and Tomcat is a must. Experience in building standalone client server Java applications using Swing and RMI will be a big plus Experience with Web Services principles and Service Oriented Architecture (SOAs) will be big plus. Knowledge of .Net, C# and Microsoft Platform will be added plus Must have excellent verbal and written communication and analytical capabilities
