I normally do my own work and maintenance on my website through WordPress, but I am having trouble with this project. I want to offer contractors who register on my website the ability to have a home improvement directory listing where they can showcase their business profile. I was looking to have something designed similar to this: /site/contractor-directory The profile details will be very similar (I want this to be basic). However, I want to be able to allow people to search for contractors by zip code... If there is no match for an exact zip code, I would like one of the features to find the closest matching contractors that are listed in the network. I would also possibly be interested in having our "Preferred Contractors" listed at the top of the search. I am not looking for anything too fancy. I am interested in knowing how much it would cost to design something like this. I know there are free plugins that can be used through WordPress, but I am having trouble customizing them to my website.
