Senior C# System Analyst – our client requires multiple C# System Analysts to provide application services. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintenance, testing and support of applications and interfaces accessing desktop and web applications currently in use.   The application environment consists of microcomputer applications running on Intel boxes utilizing Microsoft Windows 2008 and Windows 7 Clients, Visual Basic 6, Visual C#.NET and MS SQL Server. In general, key aspects of the role are: -           Providing daily production support; -           Programming planned enhancements; -           Providing Microsoft SQL database support for improving application performance -           Very good technical skills to respond to problems from other developers -           Testing system changes; -           Ensuring changes to the application meet the department standards and follow the department’s change management processes; -           Maintaining system documentation for the applications including standards and guidelines -           Providing on call support after regular business hours as required.   Mandatory Requirements Include : -           Experience performing daily production support of critical applications. -           Five years of experience developing multi-user / n-tier / Object Oriented applications using C#.NET (some VB.NET or JAVA experience maybe considered as equivalent). -           Experience developing SQL objects for an MS SQL Server -           Experience with formal change management procedures. -           Working in an environment with a team of 3 or more developers. -           Creating and working with design documents/user requirements (software artifacts ).   Desirable Requirements Include : -           Project experience with formal development methodology.   Start Date:  Sep 2012 Duration:     until Mar 31, 2013 + 2 poss 1 year extensions Location:      Edmonton, Alberta Posting #:    EC12821TC#SYSA   Intellex is one of the largest IT recruitment firms in Edmonton and has clients throughout Western Canada.
