Content Development + Management: Editorial Producer Seattle Area | Client Site | Short Term | Contract Our client seeks a Producer / Editor as part of a content programming for next-generation Apps on new devices and form factors. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a fast-moving team that’s on the cutting edge of consumer content. Hours of this position are midday/evening with some weekend work involved. Location: Bellevue, WA. You will be responsible for delivering content programming to engage and delight users, as well as to support a variety of business objectives. Passion for the user and the experience to implement customer-focused content initiatives are key attributes of this role. Familiarity with online content publishing tools is a must as is experience working with teams in different time zones. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING News story selection from content partners, creating of headline and abstracts for selected stories. Daily news production via CMS using proprietary tools. Working closely with Content PM to enhance publishing tools. SKILLS YOU'LL NEED Experience working in a fast-paced but thoughtful environment with a team of photo editors and other producer / editors. Proven ability to select from a broad array of News stories and selecting those that offer the greatest currency and the deepest relevance with an unbiased and objective narration of the facts. Proven understanding and identification of the best, most elegant writing found in News as part of a broader, more fascinating narrative from our content partners. Minimum of 3 years of editorial experience at consumer Web sites, including the selection of partner content. Ability to successfully work across boundaries towards shared objectives; results-oriented. Passion around immersive content experiences. 3+ years’ experience with online publishing tools and content management systems. Degree in journalism, communications or related discipline preferred.
