Java/J2EE Systems Engineer Lansing, MI Our client is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to conduct maintenance, enhancement & development activities on several web-based systems. Responsibilities will include review user requests, capture and analyze requirements, design solutions, code and implement system revisions, ttroubleshoot problems as they occur, prepare testing scenarios, procedures, test data and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), create and/or modify database stored procedures and make other database changes as required. Location: Lansing, MI Contract: 1 year w/ possible 2 year extension Skills Required: Generic IT experience as defined for a Senior Application/Software Engineer 8 years - Experience developing complex computer systems in Java/J2EE (Servlets, JSP, EJB, JDBC, Hibernate, iText, Tiles & jUnit) using an IDE such as Eclipse or RAD 7 years - Experience developing complex computer systems using the STRUTS Framework 5 years - Experience working directly with a system owner to gather maintenance &/or enhancement requirements, to produce design specifications and coordinate testing (including UAT) 5 years - Experience writing in SQL 5 years - Experience writing database stored procedures and functions using PL/SQL (Oracle) 2 years - Experience designing and creating database objects *** Local candidates preferred, not mandatory. *** Government Position - H1B visa candidates will only be considered from the company sponsoring the visa.
