Responsible for researching and validating the specifications of a product: its key selling points, technologies, headlines, warranty, packaging and UPC. The writer then takes that information, compares the product to similar items online and physically inspects the product to ensure it matches the purchase order, condition and description listed for the part number. This position works in combination with ad photographers to best merchandize product in a creative, fast-paced and team-oriented environment. Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, and two or more years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. -Research and validate the specifications for a product; Find valid links to include in ad. -Verify and update as needed product information including, but not limited to, description, condition, packaging, manufacturer, UPC and warranty. -Post product to various locations on the side to maximize sell-thru rate. -Develops and writes copy for ads; Maintains and updates current ads or ads for restocked products. -Creates ads utilizing models, part numbers and keywords that maximize search engine optimization (SEO). -Maintains organization of all ad material, and updates internal documents according to set standards. -Request samples and physically validate attributes of products. -Work closely in relation to other writers and photographers within the department to highlight key selling features of new product. -Must be able to work under pressure while meeting daily deadlines. -Take part in department meetings; contribute to improving work flow and procedures. -Unpack and repackage product. -Keep pace with high volume and speed of overturning work flow. -Performs other tasks as required.Manpower is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE/AA)
