We're looking for a Linux server administrator to fill an Engineering Support Specialist position. In this role, ou will manage and submit open source patches to code aurora forum for a variety of projects. You will organize internal wiki pages and training documents (internal and external) to improve overall team productivity. The ideal candidate will be a seal starter with strong customer service skills. You must have excellent communication skills, and be able to handle tasks with efficiency and accuracy. In this role, you will work with various teams developing open source software and release patches to open source. This position requires quick handling of urgent requests and requires quick turnaround. You will be expected to utilize and write Linux scripts, and write scripts used in completing this work. You will also be involved with defining processes to streamline the role. In addition to patch releases, you will be involved with other activities that include downloading and building software, loading images to devices, helping with issue reproduction, and organizing wiki pages and other documentation. Required skills/experience: Linux command line usage and bash shell scripting. Experience with common Linux command line utilities/tools. Strong work ethic, combined with fast learning skills and excellent communication skills. Customer service skills. Experience supporting ticketing requests Prior experience using standard operating procedures (SOP) to track and complete tasks. B.S. in IT or related field (required).
