IT Analyst Data Analyst: IT Infrastructure JOB DESCRIPTION Cisco seeks someone with experience, flexibility and strong communication skills to provide leadership in the role of an IT Analyst within the Application technology Services organization. In this role, the candidate will be collaborating with multiple Client organizations within Cisco. The candidate will be assigned to partner with one or more IT infrastructure teams that offer services to end clients. You will be focused on short and long term planning. This planned demand will be translated into infra resources and needs to ensure successful realization of your assigned IT team's goals. The ideal candidate needs to have a comfort level with planning multiple projects and experience working with cross functional organizations in a strong matrix environment. Experience: Typically requires: Degree in Business Administration (MIS/CIS) or equivalent 1 - 3 years of experience. RESPONSIBILITIES - Capturing short and long term demand within assigned team (e.g. work with assigned team to understand their priorities and planned projects) - Create Roadmap (e.g. develop rolling 3-4 quarter view of teams priorities, analyze internal/external environments; identify & prioritize projects or primary tracks of work, identify integration opportunities and translate into long-term shared resource implementation plan) - Understand shared resource request (e.g. identify what shared resources are needed to meet the project needs; leverage the shared services catalog in determining what services are needed) - Create shared resources Project Plan and Schedule (e.g. estimate work required to deliver end-product based on scope; partner with Demand Clearing team and shared resource managers to secure and assign resources) - Client engagement (e.g. schedule forecast meetings; communicate needs regularly to shared resource teams, Demand Clearing teams, and IT Infra team, communicated demand vs. supply) - Validation of requests Define Standards (e.g. conduct peer review of estimates; validate and update requests for shared resources) - Assess Risk (e.g. identify risks & create mitigation plans) - Define Metrics and create reports (e.g. identify measures for success related to shared services forecasting and Demand Clearing - Manage Information (e.g. develop and execute communication strategy; facilitate information sharing at all levels) - Drive Change (e.g. identify impacts of program, build awareness and support for change within the organization) - Drive Improvement (e.g. evaluate program progress and results against success metrics; create or re-engineer processes, resources, structure to gain productivity and improve program) OUTPUTS Core - Demand from Client IT team - Communication plans (e.g. regularly scheduled updates and review meetings) - Detailed shared resource work plans METRICS - On-time Delivery - Quality of shared resource planning (e.g. consistent communications, effective mitigation of risk, issue resolution, and scope management, accuracy of plans/shared resource commitment) - Stakeholder Satisfaction (e.g. adoption of service(s)) - Number of escalations - Effective Cross-Functional Partnering (e.g. successful alignment, integration of relevant parts) - Compliance with Standard Processes and Methodologies (e.g. IT Project Life Cycle and use of associated standard documents) - Improved Processes / Productivity - Improved Team Capability / Productivity ROLE CRITICAL SKILLS - MS Office, and learn usage in house tools - Strategic Alignment - Business Acumen - Change Management - Enterprise Perspective - Analytical Thinking - Decision Making - Team Effectiveness - Cost Management - Planning & Prioritization - Project Management Process - Risk Identification and Management - Time & Productivity Management - Customer/Client Facing- Business Networking - Consulting & Partnering - Communication- Facilitation- Negotiation JOB SPECIFIC SKILLS Knowledge of Infrastructure processes/engagement Knowledge of application Project Life Cycle (PLC) Knowledge of Infrastructure Server & Storage hosting/Database/middle tier applications Knowledge of infrastructure processes, high level technology domains, standards, etc.
