Kforce is seeking a Front-End Software Engineer / Web Developer for a Los Angeles, California client. This is a 6+ month contract. Our client is seeking expert Front-End Developers to join their software development group. This position will be responsible for designing, developing and improving media-based systems and sites. The ideal candidate will have a solid web developer or computer science background with interests in front-end development and user experience. In particular, this position will be creating rich client user experiences on core browser and HTML components of media workflow and production systems. Candidates should be able to provide technical expertise and logically thought-out solutions to complex web-based applications. This individual must be a self-starter and task oriented, as they will be working closely with a number of clients and production groups. This opportunity requires development of best practices through experience and research. The successful applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): * A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field * 2-4 years of front-end development experience (HTML / CSS / JS / JQuery / AJAX) * Demonstrated abilities in building elegant front-end applications across a number of technologies; especially ASP.NET and PHP * Web Services and concepts (REST, XML, and JSON) * Design proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. * Good programming skills including the ability to write reusable, maintainable code as well as good software documentation * Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate ideas and problem-solving approaches * Experience in tiered application design, problem isolation, and performance monitoring * Streaming video, media, or related background in digital entertainment * HTML5 * Mobile Development * Some familiarity with server-programming frameworks and languages (C/C++, Perl, PHP, Python) * Must be able to think creatively and unconventionally in approaching work Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States of America without sponsorship.
