Marketing Communications Writer
Our client is currently seeking a Marketing Communications Writer and Content Manager to join our Healthcare Reform Communications team located in San Francisco, CA. Reporting into the ISGBU Marketing team, this position plays a critical strategic communications role in explaining the work of the companys healthcare reform implementation to internal and external audiences. The Healthcare Reform Writer and Content Manager will develop and implement strategic communications, manage distribution channels, and create and edit written material that will be used by various audiences to understand what health reform means to them. The successful candidate will serve as a cross-department knowledge manager, coordinating and developing enterprise-wide communications while maintaining consistent messaging to all audiences across multiple departments and channels, both internally and externally. Responsibilities: - Write and edit material intended for use with internal and external audiences including employees, sales teams, employers, brokers, providers and members. - Write/edit both online and offline content, including flyers, articles, emails and letters to external constituents, web content, PowerPoint presentations, training materials, talking points, Q&A documents, phone scripts and related materials. - Strategize with business leaders to help successfully communicate their messages and navigate potential risk issues and inconsistencies with strategy and messaging across the enterprise. - Manage internal and external communication channels and develop and maintain social media content. - Conduct detailed research and interviews to gather background information for creating final documents. - Coordinate with brand and ensure consistency with non-healthcare reform communications. - Work with legal team to ensure all communications are accurate and legally approved. - Share and help implement best practices across teams. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree and a minimum of six years of communications experience. - Outstanding verbal and written communications skills. Must be familiar with healthcare trends and have a good understanding of marketing. Comfortable translating complex concepts such as medical or financial information into clear, succinct copy. Able to juggle a diverse roster of projects at the same time, and to manage these projects from inception through delivery. - A track record of supporting managing communication channels like social media, and identifying communication-improvement opportunities and taking action to positively impact key metrics. Ability to think strategically to create and implement plans that drive results. - Ability to work with minimal supervision, under tight deadlines and pressure, in preparing and delivering written documents of the highest quality. Self-starter, who must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities, working with a diversified group of professionals.
