Validation Engineer Job
Yoh has a contract opportunity for a Validation Engineer to join our client in Hillsboro, OR. Job Responsibilities: - Objective of this Validation Engineer role is to move processes into a Linux environment (specifically RH and SUSE) and sufficiently document the processes required to run the validation in support of our client's platforms. - Validation Engineer will download drivers, compile and load them. - Build systems, flash BIOS, etc. - Validation engineer will also Document Processes, Input and manage defects in tracking systems. - Debug and root cause networking issues, system issues and Linux specific issues. - Validation Engineer will run *PRO test scripts in Windows environment and figure out how to transfer these to Linux (determine blocks to running the same tests in Linux). - Validation Engineer will also help out with Windows validation tasks as requested / required. - Learn and use our proprietary technologies. - Maneuver within our infrastructure and interface with key Linux debug engineers as required. Job Qualifications: - Four plus years of experience as a Validation Engineer. - Linux / networking expert, specifically Red Hat and SUSE OS Environments, who is also comfortable with Windows OS. - Adept with testing on a systems / functionality level up to end-to-end with ISV manageability software like Altiris and MSSCCM.
