This role is required to deeply know CSS/HTML 5/JavaScript and be able to create elegant transitions (motion work). Sr. Level Web Developer Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of Web Development experience. Proven ability to work in a team environment - from making pixel perfect sites that meet the design requirements to integrating code with the Back-end Development team. Mastery in creating Cross-Browser solutions that separate structure, presentation and behavior using semantic XHTML\HTML5 markup, CSS 2/3 and modern unobtrusive, Object Oriented JavaScript. Strong knowledge of DOM scripting and event handling with experience using one or more JavaScript frameworks (jQuery, Prototype, Dojo, YUI - jQuery is preferred as that is what the team uses) as well as experience with JavaScript-based templating engines. Strong working knowledge of the Adobe suite of products, especially Photoshop and Illustrator; ability to work with Adobe CS4 files handed off by Designers to pull the required assets directly without requiring redlines for every project. Proven experience creating compelling Web experiences. A good ideology for managing maintainable, scalable and cross-browser code across large sites. Familiar with source control principles; familiarity with Visual Studio workflow and MVC sites. In-depth knowledge of IE quirks and how to address them. Familiarity with current trends in social media and contemporary web concepts. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field may be required. Bonus Skills - Nice to Have for this Position: Social App Development - Experience in building social sites or apps (Facebook, etc.) Motion design/development skills using After Effects or similar tools.
