Our client, located in Costa Mesa, California, is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist. This is a position that will require constant interaction with people of varying computer skill levels and needs. Candidates must have the following knowledge: A daily computer end-user familiar with Mac and Windows Dealing with basic network navigation, file shares, file copies, and storage locations Ability to install and upgrade software including applications, drivers, and patches. Able to connect users to the network Able to troubleshoot and resolve minor end-user problems Able to deal with office printers and desktop printers. Misc office end-user support Some server OS experience is desirable Some Linux experience is desirable A temporary break-fix / documentation assistant is our aim Mac experience: Mac OSX Leopard, Snow Leopard, Lion Adobe Creative Suite applications 4, 5, 5.5, and 6 experience Misc DTP support software experience Windows experience: XP Pro, Windows 7, Office 2003/07/10
