Business Analyst III Summary: Responsible for acting as technical advisor to other consultants and client personnel in area(s) of expertise. Creates test plans and conducts testing for applications software changes and/or new releases. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: •Provides project estimates, project management, research and documentation. •Prepares test scripts and executes testing for simple coding/system changes. •Provides client support by working directly with a client in solving problems or making decisions requiring technical expertise or specialized knowledge. •Performs applications development and support by following program specifications and developing (e.g., designing, writing, or modifying) appropriate statements, structures, and syntax using specified programming languages to produce a defined output from defined input. •Elicits and clearly defines client needs by assessing and documenting business opportunities, benefits, risks, and success factors of potential business solutions. •Performs administrative duties and prepares support documentation. •Attends and/or assists with product training and informal workshops for client employees and fosters vendor relations. •Ensures quality management methodology. •Conducts training sessions and other presentations. •Performs other related duties as assigned. Some decision-making. Education: Bachelor,'(tm)s degree from a four year college or university. Experience: 4-6 years professional level experience including two years in client relationship management and project management and/or a technical field (e.g., programming, telecom/network, client/server); or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: •Thorough knowledge of financial services industry, including retail, mortgage/loans/deposits •Considerable knowledge and use of quality management methods, tools, and technology used to create and support defect-free, application software that meets the needs of the client/business partner •Knowledge of conversion methodologies and the basic principles, processes, phases and roles relevant to each conversion methodology •Skill in understanding and focusing on the clients,'(tm) needs, establishing credibility and building relationships with clients •Skill in analytical/problem solving •Skill in solid decision-making and problem solving •Ability to demonstrate interpersonal and teambuilding skills and to manage conflict •Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing •Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients and public
