Description as follows: Job Summary: The Voice Tech Specialist is responsible for the daily support and administration of the Retail Telecommunications systems. This support and administration encompasses everything from administration of the PBX and its peripherals to resolving Service Requests and Incidents Requests. This position will also be required to open Change Orders and obtain the necessary approvals to represent these Change Orders to the Change Advisory Board. This person will ensure the Telecommunications systems and standards are employed across the Retail organization solidly supporting the needs of the evolving business. Essential Job Functions: 1. Primary responsibility consists of Service Request and Incident Request resolution, including but not limited to troubleshooting with end users, problem solving on supported systems and vendor interaction. 2. Responsible for monthly backups, system maintenance and repair to the Telephony environment while following the Retail Change Advisory Board requirements. 3. Work with the carriers, as first level support, to troubleshoot and resolve issues, implementation of new circuits, decommissioning of circuits, while ensuring carrier service is stable. 4. Responsible for the creation maintaining and the documentation 5. Works with cross-functional department technical SME,'(tm)s to implement and integrate new products into the telecommunications environment ensuring expectations are met. 6. Identifies gaps and risks in telecommunication operation, equipment, diversity, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery efforts as they relate to end-to-end telecommunication. 7. Seeks and attends technology conferences and trade shows, reviews white papers and trade magazines, and generally keeps abreast of the telecommunications industry and integrated voice systems.
