Job Title: Technical Writer Type: Contract- 6 months Location: Atlanta, GA 30346 Our client is seeking a Technical Writer for a 6 month contract in Atlanta, GA. This role will be responsible for writing technical materials, such as equipment materials, setup and operating processes, and maintenance instructions. The Technical Writer will also be responsible for organizing, editing and maintaining technical documents and files. Technical Writer Responsibilities: Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology Maintain records and files of work and revisions Confer with client to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication Refresh older documentation, especially related to Windows 2003 Work collaboratively with the Tech Writers from the other vendors and integrators Write technical documentation for hardware installs and configuration of upgraded technology Requirements: Bachelor degree required 2-4 years related experience required Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar Knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects Knowledge of computer software, such as Microsoft Office Products, Windows 2008 Server, and Windows 7 Please contact Tim Brady Synergis is a woman-owned company that serves a myriad of clients across nearly all industries, from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies.
