Description: Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. May require a Bachelor's degree in a related area and 7-9 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Comment: The Business Analyst will provide in-depth technical expertise & direction in the development and support of client area application systems/programming requirements and processes (eg new, enhancements or maintenance), in the preparation of application system specifications, and in the development, testing, and implementation of efficient, cost effective application solutions. Will serve as technical expert or lead projects and technical staff to develop, test and implement significant new products, or operational improvements or devise new approaches to problems at the division/business unit. Will conduct investigation activity/research and give technical advice to the adoption or integration of new technologies and their business impact. Skills requested: Experienced liaison between business, IT and third-party vendor to identify/gather business requirements Overall excellent business writing skills Ability to effectively document technical and business concepts and information within prescribed formats Proficient with MS Office Knowledge of Windows platforms Knowledge of Oracle database, SQL procedures and Scripting Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business users Detail-oriented Good organizational/interpersonal skills Any prior learning management experience (ie, ISOtrain/LMS) would be helpful.
