Senior Community Support Worker / Supported Housing Bradford, West Yorkshire – Commutable from Leeds, Castleford, Wakefield, Doncaster £18,819 p.a 6 month initial contract – 35 hrs per week Our client is a charitable housing association providing homes, care and support across Yorkshire. They are currently seeking a Senior Community Support Worker to take accountability for the day to day line management of Support Workers across designated services. You will work alongside your team to resolve customer issues and to motivate and create a culture of excellence in service delivery. Another aspect of the role will be to seek out solutions to problems and identify areas for improvement whilst delivering excellent customer service at all times. You will be responsible for managing the rota pattern for the service cluster and participate in the departmental out of hour’s advice line on a rota basis. The successful candidate will have worked within a similar role previously, will have a good standard of general education and will hold a relevant qualification (NVQ 3 or 4) or a willingness to work towards it. It is essential that you have experience of managing a team, implementing service improvements along with an understanding and experience of working with people with learning disabilities in a supported living environment. You must be competent with Microsoft Office along with experience of actively promoting value for money and efficiency. Ideally, you will have experience of developing the skills of others and show a willingness to develop your own. You must be flexible in your approach and able to work outside office hours as required on a rota basis. A full UK driving licence is also essential.
