The Operations & Interface Managers role is key to the GSM-R reconfiguration aspect of the TDG delivery activities. This is a key role in a small team and so your input will be value adding from day one. Drawing on your operational experience you�ll be required to liaise with the numerous projects undertaking works across the network and with over 100 projects currently within the TDG portfolio you�ll have plenty of scope to make a real impact. Gaining an understanding of the scope of each projects requirement you�ll review signalling scheme plans and related local operating arrangements to assess each projects impact on the existing GSM-R network and capture the required GSM-R configuration changes. You�ll compare the existing coverage, cell and role profile details and modify these as necessary producing a new role profile design from which a datafill design will subsequently be produced by another member of the team. There will also be a requirement to consult with the local operational teams to obtain endorsement of the changes and produce required operational publications and local instructions to support the projects delivery and the end users preparations for project commissioning. Applicants should ideally have recent Railway Operations experience, either acting as Local Operations Manager, Mobile Operations Manager or Signaller. They should be familiar with GSM-R operational protocols.
