Performance Test Engineer . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
The Senior Performance Test Engineer is responsible for driving the definition and implementation and execution of a repeatable performance testing strategy for highly scalable, web transaction and hosted services platform as well as desktop applications. This position is located in Mountain View, California. This is a hands-on position. Candidates must develop best practices, test plans and tools to facilitate performance, scalability, and stress testing of Hosted server applications. They will work with Cross functional teams to define performance metrics to measure and come up with use cases and data. Additionally, they will work with project team to define performance acceptance criteria for applications. The Engineer will drive the creation of automated performance testing. They will also drive and help define and establish benchmarking and performance metrics for release to release and create and execute performance scripts using third party or in-house developed tools. Qualifications: Must be able to provide analysis of performance test results and recommend improvements Must demonstrate working knowledge of Java and J2EE, .Net and Web technologies Must be familiar with various standards like XML, SoAP, HTTP, HTTPS, etc Must have scripting experience using any scripting languages like Perl, Pythons, Shell, etc Must have excellent interpersonal and communications skills Previous experience designing, implementing, and analyzing benchmarks a big plus Must have hands on experience using Silk, load runner or any other tools Knowledge of systems internals and its impact on performance a plus Must be able to author plans and reports and adhere to schedules Must be innovative, curious, and willing to take initiative Good troubleshooting skills Candidate should have 6-years of experience with bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, or Engineering.
