Our client, located in New York, NY, is seeking an OBIEE Oracle DBA Engineer. The program entails building new hardware/software infrastructure to support advanced analytics primarily in ETL Development, Database Administration and Artificial Intelligence for the Data Hive Project. Responsibilities: Design, develop and administer Oracle 11g databases/Hadoop Monitor, report on and tune databases. Manage and maintain back-up and recovery procedures. Provide production database support. Provide installation, upgrades, migration and patch management. Participate in development and systems design; this includes specifying the packaged components and custom applications specifically in relation to data ETL, Data Modeling, Matching and Artificial Intelligence methodologies Document and Create data schemas optimized for data analysis Interface with the agencies DBA's and domain experts to understand source data sets Participate on execution of data analysis plans Participate in the integration of open source and commercial software Design and implement of complex systems, which process a large amount of data Identify areas of improvement in the organization frameworks, tools, processes and strive to make them better Dive deep into the organization data, understand different functional areas, and use creativity to come up with extraction techniques that improve the quality Communicate risks and issues to project management Deliverables: DB Design and Implementation Extracting large amount of data from multiple data sources Data standardization and matching framework
