Software Test Engineer

Audatex is currently seeking a Software Test Engineer III for San Diego. SUMMARY Actively participate in testing of new development and product enhancements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES •Test planning, design, and execution for a variety of web and windows-based applications. •Perform testing across multiple products utilizing manual and automated tools and technologies. •Develop and maintain test plans and test cases in Quality Center or similar tool. •Plan and conduct various types of testing: functional, integration, regression, workflow and load testing. •Perform within the context of an agile development team. •Track and report on status of testing and bugs. •Provide estimates for work. Requirements EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE •BS Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) •Minimum of 6 years of experience in the field or in a related area •Experience with testing tools such as Quality Center and Quick Test Pro (QTP) •In depth knowledge of planning, design and execution of all aspects of testing including: Functional, Integration, Load, and Regression testing. •Experience with testing Web and Windows applications •Knowledge and hands use of SQL data bases: Oracle and/or SQL Server. •Experience with HTML, XML and scripting tools are a big plus. •Experience with Java, JUnit, and JQGrid is a plus. •Knowledge of Scrum and Agile methodology. •Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as effective troubleshooting skills in resolving complex issues. •Ability to effectively communicate with others at all levels of the Company both verbally and in writing. •Ability to accurately establish the length and difficulty of tasks and projects, set reasonable objectives and goals, anticipate and adjust for problems/roadblocks and measure results against goals. •Ability to perform and orchestrate multiple activities simultaneously. •Ability to perform special assignments as requested by the Management team of Product Development •Ability to coordinate the software development lifecycle processes with cost perspective.
