RiverPoint Group is looking for a mid level Engineer with 3-5 years of experience supporting hardware & software. We are looking for someone that can serve in a customer support and design engineer role. General Discipline: Electrical Engineer with 3 to 5 year's experience. Product support engineering Product support supervision and expansion to other product lines. Support resource for general product design – systems engineering. Specific Experience Required: Demonstrated proficiency in the use of recognized best practice hardware development methodologies and processes such as, design, test and prototype build procedures etc. Experience working in a formal project/product development environment/processes Familiar with engineering development tools such as LabView and advanced lab instrumentation. Specific Knowledge Required: Industrial controls, analog and digital I/O, communications e.g. (ModBus, BacNet, DeviceNet, Profibus, DNP etc.) PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) experience. Systems design and programming languages e.g. Ladder Logic, Sequential function, Structured text etc. Digital and analog hardware design experience Demonstrated record of developing in “C” programming language. Specific Knowledge Preferred: Use of VFD (Variable Frequency Drives), vector drives, scalar drives and their integration with control solutions will be highly advantageous. Experience resolving issues in the field and working with end users/customers will be highly advantageous. Other: Must be willing to travel – primarily within the USA/Canada. Travel time expected to be approximately 5% to 10%. Highly technical or analytical work is required to determine the cause and resolution plans for issues occurring in the field and of a level of complexity beyond the scope of the “Engineering Support” organization.
