Lead the development of real-time audio-video content adaptation systems that optimally utilize network resources in current and next generation wireless networks. REQUIREMENTS * Solid understanding of engineering and operating server infrastructure for high-traffic web and media services * 7+ years industry experience in the required areas of video protocols * 3+ years software development group leadership * Experience in the following areas: ---------> MUST: C/C++, STL a plus ---------> IPC, and Multi threaded Linux systems programming ---------> Strong hands-on knowledge of video codecs (H.264) and containers (FLV, M2TS) ---------> Sold understanding of TCP/IP and socket programming ---------> Embedded processors, ASICs, FPGA, Multi-core processors ---------> Internet video transport HTTP, RTP and DRM a plus * Comprehensive C and C++ Linux systems programming experience * Hands-on experience with development and design of near real time application on Linux * Previous experience in developing drivers and performing low level debugging * Strong troubleshooting skills on hardware, Linux configuration, and network issues CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS * BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Information Systems, or similar * Willing to relocate to San Diego, CA area ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS * Lead the design and development various subsystems of a complex media optimization architecture * Define and develop reliable, efficient and reusable software components in C/C++ for Linux targets * Support the development team to ensure the team exceeds expectations and delivers high quality solutions on schedule * Effectively identify and mitigate potential risks during course of projects * Provide comprehensive information for change management review and approval, ensure implementations proceed according to plan
