Overview: Allied Consultants, Inc. is an Austin-based firm which has for 20 years been a premier provider of technical and business professionals to clients in Texas. We are currently seeking an experienced Web Content Developer/Technical Writer to be a key resource on a technical services team. Responsibilities: Worker Skills and responsibilities: This position will support website editing and development to support the redesign of the Powersaver microsite. Worker will develope strategic direction for content needs Create and/or edit web content Content develop management Collaborate with internal customers and IT staff to scope projects and define content requirements Evaluate and understand user needs, intents and business goals Develop project documentation associated with the Web development process Review and recommend Section 508 remediation activities for internally produced and externally contracted websites and web applications. Qualifications: Required Skills/Experience: 6 Years of Demonstrated ability to manage projects through a Web Development process interacting with other business analysts and project managers, information architects, Web designers and applications development staff. 6 Years of Demonstrated experience in writing and editing content for the Web required 6 Years of Demonstrated experience with Web technology: HTML, javascript required Demonstrated experience with website accessibility and requirements of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act Familiarity with the limits and constraints of design for the Web Relies on in-depth judgment to plan and and accomplish goals where creativity and latitude is required. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Preferred Skills/Experience: 6 Years of Experience with IBM Lotus Web Content Manager and IBM Websphere Portal a plus. 6 Years of Familiarity with Web development lifecycle and creation of documentation including: requirements definition, scope document, personas, use cases, wireframes, HTML mock-ups, current and to-be state documents/process flows, test plans and test cases.
