Volt has an opening with our Client, a Global Manufacturer of Electronics and Semiconductors in Folsom, CA for a Linux Systems Engineer. This Systems Engineer will be needed for setting up, troubleshooting, evaluating and supporting a Linux based Hadoop environment. This environment has a number of open source and purchased support packages and related products for possible introduction into the engineering roadmap. Daily Responsibilities: Setup and Configure Hadoop Server Clusters, Network Configuration and Support, overall Linux Environment setup and support (CentOS and others). Server Admin responsibilities in a non-production lab environment. Support Windows Server setup. Support Hardware Configuration and Troubleshooting. SAN and Network configuration. This is an estimated 6 month Contingent/Temporary position in Folsom, CA with the possibility of an extension up to 18 months and offered through Volt Technical Resources which is located in Scottsdale, AZ.
