Our Client is looking for an Oracle Data Architect for a 6 months contract-to-hire position in Kansas City Mo. Summary of Requirements: - At least 6 years of database design experience. - Advanced skill in SQL or other database query language. - Excellent initiative, innovative thinking skills, and the ability to analyze details and adopt a big-picture view. - Problem Solver - Ability to take complicated problems and break them down into their fundamental components (from macro to micro). - Ability to take fundamental components and relate them to complicated problems (from micro to macro). - Can effectively describe and develop Conceptual, Logical and Physical data models. - Can describe and work with relationships (1:1,1:M,M:M, etc). - Can describe and work with super-types and sub-types. - Has experience with Dimensional models and data warehouse concepts (i.e. star schemas, snowflakes). - Can effectively navigate and work with an industry standard Case Tool. Preferably this would be Erwin. - Ability to use SQL to evaluate data and determine if the data matches the business rules. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to explain complex technical information to technical and non-technical contacts. - Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively build relationships, promote a collaborative and team environment, and influence others. - Bachelors degree in Computer Science related field or equivalent experience. - Excellent customer service skills. - Ability to model complex problems in an interactive session. - Solid understanding of data architecture frameworks and design patterns. - Provides thought leadership around the technical direction of the overall project. - Develops the metadata strategy for the project and ensures that it aligns with any overarching strategies. - Creates and maintains a data architecture vision for the project, including current and future states. - Independently design and document relational database models to meet business requirements. - Communicates frequently with key stakeholders in various customer and System IT forums to ensure clear understanding of business needs and requirements. Serves as a key coordination point to manage the exchange of critical information and decisions between business owners and System technology staff. - Work closely with business unit to understand business data needs and requirements for reporting and data modeling. - Work closely with ETL Developers and BI Developers to ensure ETL and reporting needs are met by development.
