Our Storage Technology Leader client has a 3rd-Shift (Sunday through Thursday from 11:00pm to 8:00am) Windows UNIX Systems Administration Support Engineer contract where you will be providing telephone and email support to their customers. You will also be able to learn Network and Cloud Storage very deeply. To be considered for this role, you must have very strong Windows and/or UNIX Systems Administration experience, SAN, NAS, and NFS, because you will be the person helping their customer's Systems Administrators troubleshoot their problems, determine root causes, and ultimately help fix the problems. You must also be very cool under stress and pressure, and an excellent verbal and written communicator...it's the nature of the job. To be successful in this role, you must be a motivated self-starter and self-learner, possess strong customer service and technical problem-solving skills, demonstrate initiative, and be someone who embraces challenges. Qualified candidates for this role will also have a working knowledge of some of the following protocols and applications: Virtualization, Networking (Brocade and Cisco), TCP/IP, CIFS, the UNIX file sharing protocols and/or RAID 0 and 4. Previous NAS or SAN technology knowledge experience a preferred plus, but not necessary as you will be trained on this.
