Design - Help SneakHeat | The Online Exchange with a new website design
Organization name SneakHeat | The Online Exchange Description of the organization and its target audience It is the online exchange for members to buy, sell & trade sneakers and electronics with anyone in the nation. Different from eBay because we have credit card information on file in case of any fraudulent actions by any member. They will be automatically charged for any "bad transactions on the site". Much safer than eBay. I have reserved www.SneakHeat.com already. Industry Business & Consulting Existing website to reference http://www.SneakHeat.com has a platform perfect for these features and is run by a website called: wall.fm Number of pages needed 5 Page descriptions HOME PAGE: - Description of what SneakHeat is and the mission. - Login/Sign-Up (Let them login or sign-up using Facebook/Twitter/Tumblr) and a place to Follow/Like SneakHeat right at the Front Page & the Sign-up/login page. - Sign-Up: Full Name, Address, Birthday, Phone Number, Email, Credit Card/Bank Account (MANDATORY), PayPal Information, Cell Phone Carrier (AT&T, Verizon, etc. - this is for when iPhones/Blackberrys/etc are being offered/searched for. This is actually a very common trade offer). Twitter Name, Desired Username (make sure it's not taken already), Password, Security Question (let them make their own), Location (do by zip code if that is easiest or City, State), Shoe Sizes (let them pick multiple - this is the only one that will show up in their profile, the other sizes will show up when searching for shirts, jackets, hats), Hat Sizes (7 1/4, 7 3/4, etc for Fitteds, Snapbacks, or N/A - let them pick multiple). T-Shirt Sizes (let them pick multiple), Jacket/Sweater Sizes (let them pick multiple), Pant Sizes (let them pick multiple - only #'s: 28, 29, 30 x 32, etc.) Do you Drive? - Yes/No and if yes how many miles willing to drive, Metro Accessible?, (I can do: Meet-ups and/or Shipping via SneakHeat Secure Transactions©) & I accept Terms of Service. - SneakHeat Featured Video/UStream Feed. - Like/Follow SneakHeat and CEO, Malcolm Manswell, on Twitter (@SneakHeat, @TheRealMalcs, www.facebook.com/SneakHeat & SneakHeat.tumblr.com) BIG SO THAT THEY CAN'T MISS IT. - Show a feed of the members posting items for sale on SneakHeat (they can't click on it/see more information until they sign up). - Section or Tab to see "What's A HeatBadge?" (document attached below describing what a HeatBadge is). HOW DO I GET A HEATBADGE? You don't "get" a HeatBadge, you earn one. Be legit, make sales, cut deals, do good business, don't scam people, know your stuff about the sneaker game, do exchanges, get good feedback, have people respect you, be dope, don't do anything Michael Jordan wouldn't do, and don't sell fakes, would all fall under the things we look for when granting members a HeatBadge. It is like being "verified" on Twitter, it's kind of a big deal. You will not get a HeatBadge by asking or emailing us for you to have one. We go through and see who is legit and doing great business on the site. Do good with your people and make noise in the community! - Section or Tab for "About the CEO, Malcolm 'Malcs' Manswell". - Section or Tab for all the SneakHeat Store/Raffles & Sales: www.wepay.com/events/SneakHeat - they have widgets on the site, I will add this myself once we get the store and everything working. MY DASHBOARD: - Tab for "My Account": shows them their personal information, credit card/PayPal/Bank Account on file. Shoe size, T-Shirt Size, Jacket/Sweater Size, Location (City, State), I can accept and/or send: PayPal, Credit Card and/or Bank Account, Meet-Up, Shipping transactions (do a check box feature so they can pick which ones they can do). - Rating (Stars & Feedback %): Members rate each other and the transactions done on a star scale. 5 stars being the best. eBay has a similar Feedback system. Ten 0-star feedbacks received by other members will result in automatic termination of the account. - Location: I drive/I don't drive/Metro access (make sure that if they select meet ups, they can select how many miles away they are willing to travel and that it shows them all the items within that mile radius). - Should show somewhere where they have all the items they have up for sale/trade so members can look/search for that item/size (search system can be set up similar to eBay). - Address on file, phone number, email, zip code (which will help other members determine the mile radius for transactions with users). PHONE NUMBERS ONLY GET RELEASED AFTER PAYMENTS ARE MADE. THIS AVOIDS PEOPLE JUST TEXTING ABOUT THE TRANSACTION INSTEAD OF USING THE SITE. - SneakHeat Balance: owed to SneakHeat (we take a 4.0% of every transaction involving cash - sales & trades with cash) if they get paid on SneakHeat, all the money they make from using the site can go to a balance in their "My Account" and they can choose to keep it in there and use it for other transactions on the site or have it go to their bank account/request for balance to be sent to their PayPal account. Allow them to set up automatic payment plan or manual payment plan for SneakHeat fees. Always do at the end of the month. - Items Bought (No Trade, Straight Cash), Items Sold, Items Traded, Deals in Progress, New Offers, Incoming Offers (offers made to me by other members), Outgoing Offers (offers made to other members), Pending Offers (waiting on other members response), Accepted Offers, Declined Offers, Completed Transactions. Also give them an automated checklist on what they need to do for each transaction, and it only gets checked off if it is completed/the information has been submitted. SELLER SHIPPING EXAMPLE: 1. Receive payment 2. Verify Ship To Address 3. Add Tracking Information 4. Feedback. Each checklist varies on the type of transaction being done. So it will be different for a meet-up checklist: 1. Verify and Agree on Meeting Place/Time/Date 2. Meet-Up and Complete Transaction 3. Feedback. If no feedback is left by either party for 1 day, an email/message is sent out to both members asking if the transaction went well. - NEWS TAB: Should be a tab where members can click to see any articles that we post. SEE www.sneakernews.com FOR CLARIFICATION ON WHAT I MEAN. This page will have all the Release Dates and any updates on certain releases as we receive them. I will assign 4 members to be in charge of typing up articles and posting news/questions for users to interact with. Make this tab available for non-users to see also. This where be where we feature any companies or anyone who pays us to do a feature for them. Let them send PayPal/Money Orders/Checks/Cash with a letter to SneakHeat Headquarters (I will provide the address). THE EXCHANGE: - POSTING: PICTURE UPLOADS – (SHOES MUST HAVE 3 PICTURES: SIDES, BOTTOMS, TOPS/BOX & APPAREL/ELECTRONICS CAN HAVE ONLY 1 PICTURE, BUT CAN BE MORE CAN BE ADDED IF THEY WANT TO), DESCRIPTION, THE ASKING PRICE, CONDITION OF THE ITEM OUT OF 10 (6/10, 7/10, 8.5/10, etc), Multiple Choice Question: Deadstock – Never been tried on, New With Box, New Without Box, Used, Beaters – Very bad condition for shoes, Damaged & Needs Repair. FLAWS (List flaws), ORIGINAL BOX/REPLACEMENT BOX/NO BOX (make them choose one). Meetup or Ship and Location. LET THEM MESSAGE EACH OTHER ONLY ONCE THE PAYMENT(S) ARE MADE OR THE TRANSACTION IS ARRANGED. NOT ANYTIME BEFORE THAT. - HEATBADGES: HeatBadges are given out to members that have done consecutive transactions and are established on the site as legitimate through the way they do business and how they use the site. We will go through every week and see who is doing a lot of successful transactions and manually select these members to receive a HeatBadge. It doesn't give any special privelages, it serves the same purpose as being "verified" on Twitter. Basically just shows you are legit/important within the SneakHeat community and in life. - BADGES: Let's see if we can get badges for specific people on the site. EXAMPLE: CEO get's like a special one that would indicate that the user is the CEO, CFO may have a $ badge indicating they are in charge of finances. Admin/Moderators may get a badge that looks like a security guard indicating that they monitor the activity. - SEARCH BAR: Let them search by keyword, size, location/distance, price range, feedback rating and/or condition . EXAMPLE: Space Jam 11. Any posts that have that or anything close to that should show up. - MODERATORS/ADMINS: There will be certain members/accounts that I can delegate to have certain permissions on the site. So they may have access to the financial part of the site (to be the accountant), or they may be able to edit The Exchange page (moderate the content that the members are posting and make sure everything is going nicely). Once you are approved, you will be allowed to login and see your account. Members will be able to post individual posts (must include picture, size (if they are shoes), if there is the original box or packaging/replacement box, listing price and condition). Oh, well isn't this just like eBay? Not so fast. You will be able to exchange products right from the website. From the items that you have posted that you would like to sell, you can make offers to other sellers and they can choose to accept or decline your offer. You will be able to add money to the offer to increase chances of your offer being accepted. EXAMPLE: you have a pair of shoes that I think is worth $150. I have a pair of shoes that I think are worth $100. So my offer to you would be my $100 pair of shoes in addition to $50 sent to you via credit card on file/paypal/bank account. OR they can agree to have the $50 cash once they meet up. The reason for having a credit card on file is because if something goes wrong during the transaction, they can file a dispute and the money will be replenished to whoever was the "victim". Once the offer is accepted, the money either gets held on the site/or on the account until both users have organized on the site a meetup/shipping price or after the transaction, they can have a place to indicate that the transaction was complete. After an agreement is made and a set price has been made/agreed to for gas money/shipping, you meetup or ship the products/complete the exchange, then you let us know how it went (just to complete the transaction/release any funds that were on hold). We hold the money online so that nobody gets ripped off or thinks they are smarter than we are. The funds only get released once the seller AND buyer have indicated on an automated "feedback sheet" that the transaction went smoothly. The sneaker posts can be organized so that other members that wear the same sizes will have the posts appear in their "timeline" or "feed". They may send/accept/ignore friend requests. This can be used so that they can friend people that they become acquainted with or members who happen to wear their size or post things of that they may be interested in. Allow members to search for any size so that they can get gifts or purchase items for others if desired. Any electronics or clothing/apparel can just be organized as "electronics" or "clothing" or "accessories". But essentially, the timeline/feed is built up by the users meaning the products go up when the users post items. Posts go from newest at the top of the feed/timeline to older posts below it. After 90 days, posts get deleted. The more likes/comments on the post the more the bumps up to the top. Set up may be like Twitter and Facebook where it will be like a newsfeed of posts. SNEAKSERVICES: - Please see how the SneakServices Tab is set up on: www.wix.com/odtvproductions/SneakHeat to get a visual of how it should be set up. - On the "SneakRestore/Shoe Restore" tab, let people fill out a form to apply to get signed by SneakHeat to be a Shoe Restoration/Customization affiliate. They will email us/fill out a form and attach pictures their previously completed Restoration Projects/Custom Design works (must be tagged with their username). There will be a list of the accepted/approved affiliates on the side of the page. It will have their username, location, and whether they do restoring, customization, or both. You will then be able to contact them through the site and send them offers to restore and go through the same process as The Exchange for these services. Accepted/Approved restorers and customizers will pay SneakHeat 3% of every restore/customize transaction. This is because we provided the traffic and platform for them. Due at the end of every month. - SneakGlow is Seaglow we have for sale. Members should be able to go to this tab and purchase Seaglow and other shoe products from us. WE RECEIVE PAYMENT AND THEN BUY IT FROM THIS DISTRIBUTOR. WE ARE ONLY SELLING THE FOLLOWING ON THE SNEAKHEAT SITE: - http://islandgirlshop.enstore.com/browse/1 (we will be selling: Island Girl Pink ($35), Neutral Clear 16 oz ($65), Seaglow 2 oz ($20) & Seaglow 4 oz ($35). State short description with each product and that instructions come with the products. - Legit Checks: Let them email: TheSneakCheck@gmail.com or have them fill out an automated form with the Subject "Legit Check" and make sure they attached detailed pictures. We will get back ASAP. - SneakHeat Secure Transactions: this feature should allow members to send shoes to SneakHeat's headquarters for us to determine if everything is legit and is as stated by both members in a trade. Then, if we determine that the description matches up to the the actual condition of the item(s), we complete the transaction and send the item(s) to the respective members. This feature is an extra $29.99 for each member which includes shipping out of SneakHeat's Headquarters once we determine the exchange is legitimate. If it is not legitimate or as stated we contact both parties and let them know our thoughts/observations. Whichever member's shipment is NOT legitimate, the other member is notified and can choose whether they still want the trade or to cancel it (in which case we send the shoes back to each respective member). This will usually be for orders being shipped. Most members will meet up and determine whether or not they are fake or real when they meet up. That's why the feedback portion of the site is important so we can identify who is using the site for legitimate reasons/intentions. LIVE BROADCAST: - Attach the UStream account to this. So we can log into SneakHeat and start a broadcast and all members can tune in. In addition to anyone else who knows the SneakHeat Ustream Channel link. This feature can be available for people who are not members yet. They can tune in at the home page if we are broadcasting. NOBODY ELSE SHOULD BE ABLE TO BROADCAST. (Wall.fm is a website creation platform that allows this to occur within a tab if you need clarification). CONTACT/FAQ: - Make sure all Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr information is listed. Let them ask all questions by messaging the Facebook page. Let them investors contact us and let people donate to SneakHeat via PayPal/Credit Card/Bank Account on this page as well. PLEASE SEE http://odtvproductions.wix.com/sneakheat# (the just click on the Contact tab on: www.wix.com/odtvproductions/SneakHeat). The FAQ's can be on this page as well (http://odtvproductions.wix.com/sneakheat#) or just click the FAQ tab on: www.wix.com/odtvproductions/SneakHeat. Style/theme ideas for the website None specified. What to avoid - Don't let the members contact each other until after payment/after an agreement or offer is completed. This would defeat the purpose of the site. - Try and make an interactive calendar for each member to organize transactions and then a big calendar for us to put events and different stuff that everyone can see. - Avoid having to actually go through PayPal for payments/purchases. That's more fees. If we can make a system that allows us to control the money on the site, that would be great. - Make it so that hackers and computers/fake accounts can't just make accounts. Inspirational websites http://www.wix.com/odtvproductions/sneakheat This is the promo I made for the site. This should give you an idea of what I am looking for. http://www.solecollector.com This would be a competitor. But on this site, you have to buy 10 things before you can sell. On SneakHeat, we want to be able to approve you right away when you submit a tagged picture of your shoes at sign-up. Also there is no trading right on the site. SneakHeat will allow you to accept PayPal/credit card/bank account transfers as well as send them as partial payments to other members in a exchange. FOR EXAMPLE: I have a pair of Jordans that I put up for $150, and you have a pair of shoes you want to offer that you believe are valued at about $100. You offer $50 from your PayPal on top of the shoes as your full offer for my shoes. Both parties are then responsible for fulfilling the trade (if accepted/agreed on by both members - shipping, meet up, or through SneakHeat). This is The Exchange portion of the site that is the vital part. It makes the site unique. http://www.eBay.com eBay is similar. It covers the buy/sell, but not the trade part. We need to make it so that members can pay each other via PayPal/Credit Card/Bank Account right on the site, in addition to being able to send cash as part of a trade. EXAMPLE: I want to offer you my pair of Jordans and $40 for your Jordans. You can either accept or decline the offer. If accepted, then the process begins to put the funds up. You have 12 hours to pay or the deal resets and goes back on the market. Members post items for sale, and then members send that member offers for it. The seller can accept/decline any offers. Once an offer has been accepted and the payment has been made, it automatically comes off of the site and that photo cannot be posted again (forcing them to get another picture to validate that they actually have the shoes). Then they either agree to ship or meet up and then both parties fill out a feedback form to determine how the transaction went. http://www.facebook.com/SneakHeat This is the Facebook Page for SneakHeat. We will need to be able to provide articles on the site with shoe updates in addition to companies paying for advertising on the articles/front page. Facebook will be the place for Customer Service. WE ALSO NEED TO BE ABLE TO DO A LIVE BROADCAST RIGHT ON THE SITE. THE SNEAKHEAT USTREAM CHANNEL IS: SNEAKHEAT. This will be for when we have a special guest, we are at a special event, or if we need to update the members, or just because. This is a feature that seperates us from everyone else. Notes The documents will help give a good overview of what is needed. Also, www.wix.com/odtvproductions/sneakheat may help as well. Logo should look like the one attached. This website: wall.fm It has a format that I was using for the previous SneakHeat website, but I couldn't get the design how I wanted, I couldn't get the custom PayPal integration on there like I wanted, and notifications (telling members when someone messaged, commented, or posted) wouldn't come up for members.
