Superman, Spider-man, countless X-men, the innumerable cast of "Heroes", everybody is gaining superpowers these days. Unfortunately, only heroes with telegenic good looks and impressive abilities ever get any publicity. What about those whose gifts aren't exactly A-list? The guy who can fly, but is terrified of heights. The woman who can communicate telepathically, but only with poodles. And what powers did that poor student get after being bitten by a radioactive dung beetle? These working-class superheroes never seem to make the front page. Until now. The rules of the game are thus: Write a great story about how someone (or some critter) with seemingly useless superpowers winds up saving the day. Keep in mind that profanity is not acceptable.
